The GOODS

Ceramide Complex: Ceramides are lipids (fatty acids) that are formed by our skin's sebaceous glands to help form the protective barrier functions of our skin. Really, they are the glue that holds our skin together. Also, ceramides help to prevent the skin from drying out and support the moisture balance of your skin. Ceramide Complexes are also extremely well suited for very dry, very sensitive skin types.

In time, ceramides can break down and deplete, meaning our barrier function can become destabilized, allowing both skin hydration and moisture to decrease. By the time we reach our 30s, we have lost (on average) 40% of our skins natural ceramides. By our 40s, that number can jump upwards of 60%.

By using products with a ceramide complex built into it, you can provide your skin with the necessary aids to help restore some of your skin's natural ceramide levels and that barrier function that helps our skin stay hydrated.

Tips & FAQs

Usage: Apply a dime sized amount to your face by apply smaller dabs on your forehead, cheekbones, nose, and chin. Gentle massage into skin. Apply directly after serums and prior to applying sunscreen (AM) or oils (AM and/or PM).

Pro Tip: A small amount of cream goes a long way. Start with a small amount and add more if desired. If using over serums, you may experience a light “soaping” effect, meaning some spots of cream may take longer to soak into your skin on top of your serums. Lightly dab areas of cream that are not immediately soaking in.

Storage: Keep your cream in a dry cool place, out of direct sunlight. Your bathroom cupboard is perfect!
